Big spender
Norbert Flint is the world’s stingiest man. Yet when he dies in a bizarre road accident, he leaves no discernible assets except a well-thumbed manuscript of tight-waddery entitled First Out of the Taxi, Last to the Bar. This masterpiece of miserliness is inherited by his nephew, Jake Cooper, a nine-fingered safety inspector and connoisseur of cheesy hazard-prevention videos. As Jake proceeds to employ Norbert’s posthumous advice on the art of not spending, he realizes that all is not
as it seems with his uncle’s demise. And for a man who urges safety in all things, Jake’s curiously dangerous past is starting to invade his present in the most alarming way. Unless he takes some serious risks, he’s about to lose another finger. And just when Jake believes life can’t get any more treacherous, he meets a woman who shows him that the most hazardous thing we’re ever likely to do is fall in love.
